Gustav Klimt
Phase 2 Art Club and year 6 have been studying the work of Austrian Artist Gustav Klimt.
They produced detailed pencil studies which were developed into colour using pencil crayon and watercolour and limited collage added.
Ceramic tiles were made using the decorative nature of Klimt’s work as an influence and a larger scale collaborative painting was made.
Visiting Graphic Designer
Phase 2 Art Club were lucky enough to have a visit from graphic designer Carey Ollerhead.
They heard about her studies at university and how she used computer software such as photoshop and Wacom tablets to draw and design
Carey has designed promotional materials for local businesses and is currently working with a Liverpool design company.
The children got to ask lots of questions about how she started out and the kinds of projects she had done at university.
Carey showed her digital portfolio and some paper copies and sketchbook work. Her work is often inspired by fantasy art and music.
