Safeguarding

At Greenside, we work closely with parents and other stake holders to ensure the safety of our children. Please click here to download our Safeguarding policy.

We also expect a good standard of conduct from our staff to reinforce positive attitudes and behaviour for our children. Please click here to read our Staff Code of Conduct.

The NSPCC offers lots of advice for parents and children on how to stay safe.

Click here to find out how to help prevent abuse and the 'Underwear Rule.' To download the leaflet, please click the NSPCC logo below.

If you have a concern about a child please email the school in confidence at:- safeguarding@greenside.tameside.sch.uk
You can also contact the Tameside Safeguarding Hub on 0161 342 4101 to report a concern.

Child Protection

The Designated Safeguarding Lead for our school is Mrs J Reynolds (Headteacher). Deputy Safeguarding Leads are Mrs A Curtis (Deputy Headteacher) Mrs K Mitchell (Assistant Head), Mrs J Butterworth (Safeguarding and Attendance Officer), Mrs A Glover (Pupil Premium Mentor) and Mrs M Warburton (Pupil and Family Support Officer).

Where the school has concerns regarding the protection of children from any form of abuse we will endeavour to work closely with families and provide support as appropriate. The school may consult with Children's Social Care for advise on this and where this is the case we will normally inform parents of this. However, in some serious circumstances concerns may be reported to Children's Social care without first informing parents.

At Greenside we follow the child protection procedures of the Tameside Safeguarding Children Partnership. Their website is available on the following link: https://www.tamesidesafeguardingchildren.org.uk/
