Autumn One
The first half term saw the children competing in target throw in year one and two, football in year 3 and 4 and handball in year 5 and 6. There was some great play and a big focus on players showing the school games value of Respect. After every game the players chose their player of the match and gave reasons why referencing the school games values.

Autumn 2
Autumn 2 saw the children taking on different athletics events throughout the school with children taking on hurdle, sprint and middle distance races as well as competing in throwing and jumping events.
In year 1 and 2 children were practising invasion game skills and took part in a competition where they had to throw and catch quickly to be the first team finished.
The focus for the term was passion and we were awarding children who were showing their love for sport and competition.
Spring 1
Spring 1 saw Year 3 and 4 get to grips with netball. Year 3 played adapted games of netball using the skills and techniques while year 4 got to grips with the rules of high 5 netball. Year 5 and 6 played some excellent games of Tag Rugby and showed great tackling and game awareness. Year 1 and 2 have been working on target games and throwing accurately. The school games value focus this half term was self belief with the children showing great confidence to keep going while trying new skills.
