Year 3/4 Football Festival

On the 22nd March it was a special day at Droylsden Juniors as we hosted a year 3/4 festival for 6 other schools in Tameside. As well as this we had 4 of our Year 6 who did a fantastic job and got lots of compliments from other staff. It was an amazing success on the pitch too, with our year 4 team drawing 2 of their games and the year 3's winning 2 and drawing one of their games. It was a fun night and we are looking forward to hosting more in future.

Road to Old Trafford Tameside Heats

On Wednesay the 17th January 2018 we took a Year 2 and Year 3 team to the Road to Old Trafford Tameside heats at the famous cliff training ground of Manchester United. The year 2's did very well, winning two and drawing 2 of their 6 games but the year 3's did even better winning 5 and drawing one in the group. This meant they played in the final which they impressively won 4-1. They will play in the final at the AON training complex in May/June! Well done!

On 27th March we took on Moorside in the quarter finals of the Holmes cup. The game got off to a brilliant start as we went 2-0 up at half time. Unfortunately we didn't manage to keep it up and Moorside came back to win 4-2 which was obviously disappointing but hopefully a learning experience.
