Safeguarding

At Greenside, we work closely with parents and other stake holders to ensure the safety of our children. Please click here to download our Safeguarding policy.

We also expect a good standard of conduct from our staff to reinforce positive attitudes and behaviour for our children. Please click here to read our Staff Code of Conduct.

The NSPCC offers lots of advice for parents and children on how to stay safe.

Child Protection

The designated Child Protection Officer for our school is Mrs J Reynolds (Headteacher). Deputy Child Protection Officers are Mrs A Curtis(Deputy Headteacher) and Mrs M Warburton (Pupil and family Support Officer).

Where the school has concerns regarding the protection of children from any form of abuse we will endeavour to work closely with families and provide support as appropriate. The school may consult with Children's Social Care for advise on this and where this is the case we will normally inform parents of this. However, in some serious circumstances concerns may be reported to Children's Social care without first informing parents.

At Greenside we follow the child protection procedures of the Tameside Safeguarding Children Board. Their website is available on the following link: https://www.tamesidesafeguardingchildren.org.uk/
