My name is John Rogers and I am the Headteacher at Greenside.
I have been Head at Greenside since January 1991 and I now work with families where I know the children, their parents and their grandparents!

I have been Head at Greenside since January 1991 and I now work with families where I know the children, their parents and their grandparents!
Throughout all my time at Greenside it has been a super place to walk into. The overwhelming majority of children and families we work with are superb and as a result we base most of our work around the positive relationships that generally shine through as soon as you enter our school.
Greenside has always been a safe school to come into and this is something we take very seriously. In doing so we specifically try to maintain that delicate balance of being open and welcoming while staying safe at all times.
Greenside is a big school that works closely with our integrated children’s centre and has strong partnership with the private nursery that shares our site. We also work very closely with health, police and social care colleagues. At Greenside we have tried to make our site a one stop shop serving family needs.
Greenside is a very open school with senior staff to be found in the playground before and after school. There are many occasions when a casual chat sorts out issues without the need for an appointment.
At Greenside we strive to do our best and we try to work closely with our families. When we occasionally make a mistake we like to think we are honest enough to correct it with you. We always try to maintain positive relationships even when we are sharing difficult conversations.
On the academic side we constantly strive to meet the needs of all our children and we consistently talk and work on positive engagement, high aspirations and strong personal values.
We genuinely want to work with you and warmly invite you to participate in a strong school and family partnership. Working together we can achieve much more.
