Previous School Year Competitions

The Road to Old Trafford

On Wednesday 28th June 2017 the year 2 boys finally got to play in the Road to Old Trafford finals at the AON Training Complex in Carrington. The boys were very excited and some great results got them into the semi-final. The semi final would see the team come up against strong opposition who they would lose against. The boys now had to play in a play off for 3rd or 4th place. They put on an excellent performance in this game to beat the opposition. 3rd overall. Well done boys.

Lacrosse

On Wednesday 8th March, Greenside attended the School Games lacrosse at New Charter Academy. With two teams attending and a mix of wins, losses and draws all teams had a great time. Well done to all who participated.

Rounders
On Wednesday 21st June 2017 a selection of children attended the rounders tournament at New Charter Academy. The rain held off (just about) and our team managed to win their matches to make the finals.  The finals were held the week after however the weather wasn't as kind for the finals, which had to be played inside.  There was a lot of waiting around, with some children even getting the chance at table tennis whilst waiting.  The team didn't win the finals but played as well as they could on an indoor pitch.Enter text...

Basketball Heats

On Friday 10th February, a selection of year 5 and 6 children went across to Droylsden Academy to participate in the School Games basketball heats. Two teams went down and both teams faced tough opposition. Both teams had a fantastic time but just couldn't find a way to beat the other schools. Good luck to the schools who qualified.
