Year 5 Autumn 2 Tag Rugby
Year 5 have been learning the basics of Tag Rugby this half term, with them working on passing, sidestepping and playing small games.
Year 1 Autumn Multiskills
Year one having been working on finding space and moving in different ways they have suggested such as skipping, jumping and hopping. They have done this while manipulating bean bags around them in different ways.
Year 5 Autumn Term Football
Year 5 have been working on their football skills so far this term, and also looking at attacking and defensive tactics in invasion games generally. This week we were looking at shielding the ball from a defender using close control and also making interceptions as a defender by anticipating the pass. Children worked very hard and showed good understanding.
Year 4 Autumn Football
Year 4 were working on close control last week and being able to make quick passes and move into space. They also explained why it is important to look up when travelling with the ball to avoid defenders and find space.
Year 6 Autumn Football
Year 6 have been working on leading individual sessions within their lessons before delivering sessions to younger children. After being given a focus and advice from Mr Ellis and Mr Pownall, the children worked hard in groups to be leaders.
Year 3 Autumn Football
After 7 hard weeks working on their football skills such as passing, ball control and turning Year 3 had a fantastic Intra Class competition which included great school games values, plus great goals and late winners.
Year 2 Throwing and catching
Year 2 have been practising their throwing and catching skills with balls of different sizes. They have been able to talk about how the ball should be aimed between the head and hips of the catcher.
